I have attended every Photoshop training seminar that I can find and have been trained by the best photographers and Photoshop people in the USA.  One resource that has helped me more than any other is the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP  www.photoshopuser.com).  They have a traveling seminar series on Photoshop taught by the Gurus of Photoshop.  They also publish many books and DVDs on the subject and have weekly on-line lesson videos and hot tips.  The cost is only $99/year to be a member.

In Florida as well as most major cities you will find guest speakers from the photography world. Last week I attended a two-day seminar sponsored by Outdoor Photographer Magazine, featuring photographers from National Geographic magazine - great.  This week I have a two day lighting class.  I really enjoy learning and always walk away with at least one new idea that I am going to put to work.

I have watched all of my training DVDs at least three times each and will probably watch a few more times.  There is so much to learn that it cannot sink in without repetition with use of the techniques in between.  One of the books that has taught me many of the techniques that I use for sharpening and vibrant color is the Photoshop Channels Book by Scot Kelby.  All of thee books that I have purchased have been well worth the investment.  Call me if you love photography and have any questions.
